Information On New Mentor Training That Is About To Start

A career mentor provides another person with help, feedback and advice about career matters over a period of time. Mentors are a great resource for people who find themselves needing to get a job or faced with some other career challenge.

Career Care facilitates people with experience of HR / recruitment / counselling / coaching to get involved in mentoring on a part time, voluntary and complimentary basis. A pivotal part of what Career Care does is the provision of training in career mentoring skills and we currently have places available in a twelve week training course that will commence shortly.

Our career mentoring training involves workshops one evening a week for twelve week with reading and other work to be done in advance of and following every workshop. Participants gain practical experience of mentoring and are also provided with all information they will require in order to advise on career matters. Training in how to deliver interview training and how to deliver other career management supports are incorporated in this twelve week course.

Career Care provides mentor training free of charge on the basis that those who participate plan to provide mentoring to other people in the community on a voluntary and complimentary basis. Only adullts - people aged 18 years and older can participate in Career Care mentoring training.
